A global manufacturer to the aerospace sector has a new vacancy for a Business Improvement Manager. With a proven background in managing production within a machining department you will look at continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring KPIs are met.

The Role

Forming part of Senior Management team the role will be responsible for processing and controlling the inputs and methods for the machining department in order to deliver sustainable results. You will be responsible for standardising processes to ensure consistency and compliance with aerospace quality standards.

You will lead a manufacturing team of 60 employees to ensure that production and productivity targets are met, EHS standards are maintained, maintenance of key plant is to a high quality, control and discipline standards are high, all employee training requirements are fulfilled, standards are maintained and remain within budget.

You will develop a culture of continuous improvement through the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing tools to coach, lead and manage employees to embrace the culture of never-ending improvement in safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery.

The Candidate

Candidates should have experience of working in a lead role in a complex manufacturing plant and have strong machining knowledge. You must have a proven track record in management with a demonstrable track record of achieving results & managing change. Committed to business improvement and growth you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.
