As a distributor of polymer raw materials, the company are looking to recruit a Business Manager to service compounding and extrusion clients in the UK. You will have a good understanding of polymer properties and be able to effectively manage your own time.
The Role
• To achieve the Business Units budget contribution (sales and profit post distribution less operating overhead)
• To develop and implement an industry strategy for profitable growth
• To secure new strategic distributorships and partnerships with chemical producers
• To account manage key customers and supplier relationships
• To achieve the financial ratios for the Business Unit in line with Group policy
• To contribute to the overall strategic direction of the group.
The Person
Ideally degree qualification in Polymer Chemistry or closely related field of study.
Significant experience managing a business unit within a similar organisation.
Proven background in developing new business relationships within the polymer industry.
