This is a role working for an innovative, hybrid electric vehicle consultancy with a vision to maximise efficiency and performance of hybrid systems. They are seeking a Chief Engineer within the hybrid and electronic system team to lead and deliver on-going client technology projects and to lead and develop the battery systems team.
The Role
The candidate will provide line management leadership to a specialist team of energy storage engineers. You will focus on delivery of projects on time and on budget as well as providing technical leadership for engineers involved in energy storage. The role also includes supporting the sales teams in the development of market opportunities through client interaction, proposal support and roadmap development.
The Candidate
You will have a minimum degree in an engineering or science related discipline. You will have a good understanding of battery cell chemistries and a good grounding in wider energy storage mediums. You will have experience in team leadership, business growth and strategy development and excellent knowledge of energy storage system architectures and management systems. The candidate will have experience of designing 12 to 1200 V dc power systems, connectors, bus bars, cables, contactors and fusing.
