A rare opportunity to join one of the world`s leading automotive tier one components, they now seek to appoint an Engineering Manager to ensure all plant, equipment, tooling and site services are optimised and operational. You will need to be an experienced Engineering Manager from within a high volume, fast paced environment with a demonstrable track record of effective overall improvement.

The Role

To be responsible for the effective management of the Manufacturing Engineering Department, Reliability Engineering, Tooling and Facilities.

The role comprises of 3 key elements, the first taking responsibility for the Manufacturing Engineering team and all associated NPI and optimization process including specifying equipment and new projects. The second element will be all facilities management of the site, to include everything within the structure of the plant and all associated legislation. Thirdly the tooling department will also fall within the remit of this position, as will machine reliability, OEE performance, CI as well as a compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental targets.

The position will sit on the Senior Management team and will report directly into the Plant Director.

The Person

You will be an experienced Engineering Manager from within a fast paced manufacturing environment and be experienced in implementing a past Reliability system, TPM and SMED. Ideally you will be degree qualified although this is not essential. The position forms part of the Senior Management team so additional responsibilities will be required as and when to ensure effective business performance.
