This rapidly growing food manufacturing business is seeking a Factory Manager to join their reputable brand. Currently manufacturing a rage of FMCG products this Factory manager will be reporting into the still very hands on MD/Owner of the business.
Your new role
The Factory Manager will be directly responsible 3 supervisors (Technical Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor and Production Supervisor) and around 50 indirect colleagues below you. You will be expected to work along side the Sales Director to ensure that all products are produced, packed and distributed in a timely manner to fulfil all sales activity. In addition to producing in house named bands, you will be responsible in overseeing the production of contractual manufacturing that has been outsourced to this company. You will produce, manage and deliver budgets requirements to ensure the company can sustain its growth. The Factory Manager will also be expected to implement Lean projects to improve the OEE and the quality of the service provided.
What you’ll need to succeed
Having held a Production Operations Manager, Factory Manager or Manufacturing Manager role for in excess of 5 years, you will have gained the experience for this role. You must have worked within a food manufacturing business and have gained experience of managing teams upwards of 50 people indirectly. This role will also require you to have gained the experience of creating and managing budgets whilst as the Factory Manager you will need to have experience of Lean / 6 Sigma practises implementation.
