This successful division manufacture precision components to the aerospace sector, due to internal promotion they are currently recruiting a Finance Director. You will oversee the day to day financial accounting of the business and have previous experience delivering financial results at a group level.
The Role
Working with the site General Manager and reporting at group level you will oversee the day to day financial accounting for the business. You will be responsible for providing an effective financial / management accounting service which meets the needs of the business whilst ensuring compliance with statutory and group accounting procedures and demands.
Key responsibilities:
Responsibility for production of Management and Statutory accounts
Preparation and review of Capital Expenditure Requests
Working Capital adherence
Managing the development and updating of standard costs
Ensuring accounts are correctly stated and reported on a timely basis
Financial Accounting and Financial Management
Business modelling for major projects and business initiatives.
Continually strive to improve the operating working capital of the business
Monitor business performance and providing understanding behind the numbers to drive performance improvement through the businesses.
Evaluation of Commercial Opportunities
The Candidate
Graduate with recognised Professional Qualification (Industry or Practice) e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc.
5 years post qualification experience in manufacturing environment
Able to report and explain financial results to Divisional and Group management
Complex problem solving and project management
Risk Management and advisor relationship management
Professional demeanour with high degree of comfort speaking with Senior Management
Must thrive in an environment driven by tight schedules/deadlines and to deliver results.
People management including: Coaching and mentoring, Motivating individuals and teams, Direction and Governance.
