Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading Global Manufacturing Company in Hertfordshire are expanding and have continued to expand year on year since they were first established. This leading organisation are now seeking a appoint a newly created Head of Operations job to provide strategic guidance and development to the teams. Reporting into the Operations Director for the business here in the UK.
Your new role
In your new role you will provide vision and leadership for a cross functional team encompassing Engineering, Quality and Production. You will manage the day-to-day manufacturing output and deliver products against cost, according to planning, budgetary and quality requirements. You will evaluate all manufacturing processes related to day to day production, raw materials, inventory, scheduling, planning, machine output optimisation and recommend improvements including all investment required to execute new plans.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in a similar role at Head of Operations, Plant Manager or above. In which you have developed strategies, change management, lean principles, worked in collaboration with multi-discipline teams. You will have worked in complex manufacturing site and managed a site with multiple shifts, lines and products where you have directed multiple teams both directly and indirectly. It is imperative you have excellent people skills where you have experience of engagement within a multiple discipline operations team and being able to empower people to implement new strategies to improve performance and day to day operations.
