Spearheading IT and systems excellence within a continually expanding UK division of a global engineering business, you will coordinate and lead all aspects of the UK operations IT department with responsibility for both hardware and software considerations.
The Role
Support all aspects of the IT system, you will plan and implement update and modifications to the current IT system including the internal planning/Work in progress tracking system via the JD Edwards package. Additionally, you will anticipate and ensure future network needs are met, mobile connectivity is maintained and the relevant ECommerce channels are fully accessible and current. The IT Director will manage the IT department budgetary concerns in addition to ensuring an appropriate level of training and mentoring within the IT team and related stakeholders/system users.
The Person
The successful applicant will have previous experience managing and leading an IT function within a manufacturing business. You will be conversant with implementing/running MRP/ERP systems ideally JDEdwards or similar and well versed within Unix and Microsoft applications. A recognised technical degree is essential in addition to any additional language skills ideally French.
