An innovative and pioneering engineering organisation, developing ground-breaking technologies are seeking a Principle Engineer (Chassis) to join their technical management team. You will play a key role in research and development activities in the field of Body in White and chassis design and development, to successfully deliver on project aims.
The Role
The Principle Engineer (Chassis) will define body and chassis strategy of the product. Liaising with Senior Project leaders and partners to agree content.
The Principal Engineer (Chassis) will be heavily involved in high-level decision making of the direction of research projects as part of a strategic review with the Chief Engineer and other relevant personnel.
You will provide technical leadership of design and development of the chassis, including BIW, frame, suspension, electrical systems and body panel components.
Supporting planning, monitoring, use of resources, analysis and presentation of results to meet project targets.
Translating project deliverables into a successful plan of work, delivering on-time and in budget.
Generating research ideas and supporting industrial collaboration.
Delivering project outputs through presentations, conferences, seminars papers etc to the wider audience.
The Candidate
You will be a Ph.D. qualified individual with a credible university degree in an advanced engineering discipline along with substantial experience integrating chassis systems into automotive products.
Extensive industrial experience of body and chassis design and development.
Must have held similar Senior level roles within multi-partner research and/or development projects.
Provide technical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and researchers.
Able to influence and negotiate in a confident and professional manner with exceptional communication and presentation skills/ability.
Evidenced experience delivering projects on time and on budget.
Able to travel internationally and holder of a current valid driver`s license.
