A global manufacturer supplying the automotive sectors has a new vacancy for a Supply Chain Manager. With proven supply chain management experience you will have worked in fast paced manufacturing, ideally the automotive sectors.
The Role
You will be tasked with managing the supply chain functions in this large first tier manufacturing plant which supplies the Automotive sector. You will design and implement the appropriate controls and systems that manage the loading of that demand to optimise cost and lead-times while maintaining inventory and working capital at a minimum.
You will ensure that the business has a robust master production schedule and through effective loading of our facilities operating cost is minimised. A vital part of the role is to implement lean warehouse and inventory management principles to drive turns, and stock improvements.
A particular emphasis will be on the continuous improvement and strategic future proof planning as the site goes through a long term expansion program.
The Candidate
With proven leadership experience gained in supply chain management you will possess a strong technical background gained within complex fast paced manufacturing and be well practised in all aspects of supply chain management (focused on materials planning, capacity planning and inventory control).
You must have proven background of inventory management, production control, forecast planning and capacity planning.
A demonstrable record of strategic planning is essential.
