Bakkavor Salads creates 300 jobs at Lincolnshire factory

Bakkavor Salads is looking for 300 new colleagues to join the food production team at its Bourne site in Lincolnshire, where it is already one of the largest employers in the area with 1,200 employees.

Part of prepared food manufacturer Bakkavor Group plc, the site produces prepared fruit, stir fry, noodles and dressed salads.

Bakkavor Group recently announced a nationwide strategy to implement a pay increase for the majority of its 14,000 factory-based colleagues. A discretionary pay increase over and above the business’s normal annual pay award was by way of a thank you to its colleagues, who have played a significant role in helping to maintain food supply throughout the pandemic and represents a multi-million-pound investment in its people.

Jonathan Zair, general manager for operations at Bakkavor Salads Bourne, said: “This is an exciting time for our Bourne site as we continue to develop and grow our business and we’d love people to join to be part of this success. If you are looking for a career change and to work in a diverse team of people, where your personal development is core to our business values, please do get in touch and find out more about the roles available. We are proud of how we work together to make fantastic products as well as our community commitment.

“After many blisters across the team, we are pleased to be able to support ‘Don’t Lose Hope’ with our donation of £700 raised through our 24-hour Stepathon. At Bakkavor, we are committed to supporting a wide range of UK communities in which we operate across the nation, however my colleagues at Bourne are especially committed to supporting a local charity close to our hearts and lives. We will continue raising awareness and support for the charity in the future and the vital work it does for members of our community.”
