Head of Reliability – Automotive

Part of the Engineering Leadership team this individual will work closely with the aftermarket team, quality teams, manufacturing teams, new product development & engineering teams to deliver class leading processes and procedures focusing heavily on improving the quality and reliability of our products.
You will lead the reliability initiative to ensure delivery of class leading reliable products into the market, and will report to Group Engineering Director. Strong analysis, process development, root cause corrective action design, and communication skills will be a critical element of success in this position.
Main responsibilities:
Implementation and development of a Root Cause Corrective Action process for reliability issues
across the group.
Lead the cross functional, cross facility reviews on reliability.
Develop process documentation and training methodology.
Develop and install supplier improvement process.
Progress from reactive to proactive approach to reliability
Reliability testing, Fault tree analysis, NPD alignment,FMEA
FRCASS
Process development & controls
Install reliability, maintainability and value approach
Develop process and culture around process capability and classification of characteristics
Lead the culture from design concept to full field operation
Skills, experience and competencies:
5+ Years in vehicle manufacture or automotive aftermarket
Hands-on experience in both reliability and quality tools and process
Demonstrated experience in the analysis, process development, culture change and
improvement of product reliability
Ability to lead change across a globally diverse team
Ability to move between strategic and tactical activities
