Part of The Manufacturing Technology Centre portfolio, the Manufacturing Operational Efficiency division is working on the improvement of manufacturing Operational Efficiency in plant, working together with a diverse range of businesses to implement lean and cost reduction initiatives.
They now seek a number of Senior Lean Consultants to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing business, adding value to current industrial members & clients in manufacturing operational efficiency improvement projects, as well as helping to implement new highly advanced manufacturing methods and processes. The opportunities have arisen due to unprecedented growth.
You will be working cross sector (aerospace, automotive, FMCG and manufacturing) with SME`s through to global OEM`s to deliver continuous improvement initiatives onsite with customers/clients through a variety of different mediums. This will include working on manufacturing process improvement programmes, Value Stream Mapping, new product introductions and cost reduction exercises.
The role will be varied and may see the incumbent working on assignments including assessing new manufacturing cell options and implementing a brand new production method or implementing a SMED project. This is a highly varied role that requires extensive travel (stay away Monday-Thursday) throughout the UK.
Applications are sought from engineers who have a demonstrable track record in lean/CI implementation that are able to attribute specific time and cost savings throughout their career. You should be comfortable working at C-level in order to help customers/clients develop sustainable strategy but, not be afraid to influence at shop floor level when required.
The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanical engineering degree coupled with an MBA & a Black Belt certification – applicants will be considered on their individual merits.
The role will be West Midlands based, but you must be prepared to work on client sites throughout the UK for much of the time.
