High profile automotive components manufacturer in Wales is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a business unit, ensuring high quality, on-time delivery of products whilst spearheading best practice, safe working and continuous improvement.
The Role
With responsibility for quality, cost and delivery metrics, the Production Manager will deliver the daily production plan is aligned with customer requirements maintaining a cost-efficient strategy throughout all areas of the business unit. Ensuring a strong commitment to continuous improvement, the Production Manager will ensure both effective production systems and excellent development of people whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety. Taking responsibility for professional development plans, the Production Manager will foster and develop an agile team within a positive and engaged working environment.
The Person
The successful applicant will possess proven manufacturing industry experience within a fast-paced environment and be conversant with modern lean tools. A recognised engineering or management qualification ideally at degree level is highly preferred in addition to excellent communication skills developed within a high pressure environment.
