Integral Powertrain’s new technical centre fully operational
Integral Powertrain’s new 47,000 sq ft technical centre at Shenley Wood in Milton Keynes is now fully operational.
The powertrain and e-Drive solutions provider first announced its intention to build the state-of-the-art centre in March 2018, with building work commencing in June 2019.
Due for completion in Q1 2020, the build was slowed due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, however, Integral Powertrain alongside Warwick Burt Construction and q2 Architects put in place Covid-safe procedures to ensure the build could be completed.
Built to house Integral Powertrain’s expanding e-Drive business and increasing number of projects, the site also allows for subsequent growth and expansion to mirror future business expectations.
In addition to the new technical centre, Integral Powertrain recently upgraded its vehicle emission and driveline test facility; also in Milton Keynes. The enhanced facility will enable Integral Powertrain to offer clients enhanced RDE (Real Driving Emissions) services and testing to the latest WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) standards.
Neil Tyagi, chief commerical officer at Integral Powertrain, said: “We have ambitious growth plans both here in the UK and overseas, and as part of this strategy and the continued increasing demand for our products, we needed to increase our facilities and consolidate multiple sites into one. This new modern facility is a tangible milestone for us and marks a new chapter in Integral Powertrain’s success.”
