ZwickRoell moves to new headquarters in Worcester
Materials testing equipment manufacturer ZwickRoell, which has been operating in the UK for over 40 years, has moved its headquarters from Leominster to Worcester, occupying new purpose-built premises.
Its testing machines and systems are used in a wide range of industries and academia to evaluate the mechanical properties and performance of materials and components.
The company’s new 20,000 sq ft facility is part of its continued expansion programme creating a new headquarters and customer experience centre which includes an extensive suite of offices, meeting rooms, breakout areas, and a comprehensively equipped demonstration laboratory. The new headquarters will support the company’s planned growth and allow it to deliver first-class service to customers.

ZwickRoell collaborated with its building contractors to ensure a reduction in the building’s carbon footprint. Some of the steps taken include an efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system which in the winter months draws warm air from the building and passes it via a heat exchanger, over filtered fresh air entering the building thereby efficiently recovering waste heat and saving energy. Roof mounted solar panels produce electricity even in overcast conditions and secure, sheltered cycle storage units with living roofs, provide a rich biodiverse habitat. During the building’s construction stage, over 2,000 shrubs and trees were planted to supplement existing woodland.
Benno Sadowski, managing director, ZwickRoell UK & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to establish a new facility in Worcester, with its excellent strategic location in the UK. With our experience of more than 160 years in the materials testing equipment industry, we are always investigating ways in which we can better support our customers with our products and services, in addition to creating relationships which embody our brand, vision, and values.”
