Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a EHS and Sustainability Manager to join their established team.
Role:
· As a EHS and Sustainability Manager you will oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and sustainability across the company’s UK site.
· This role is pivotal in leading and developing the EHS team, ensuring that all EHS activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulations, by promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
The EHS Manager will drive the implementation of EHS systems, manage risk assessments and facilitate incident investigations, alongside working closely with the site management team, employees and stakeholders to aim for a “zero accident” and “Zero defect” culture.

Responsibilities:
· Promote and cultivate a safe, ethical, and legally compliant work environment.
· Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
· Develop and manage environmental initiatives to achieve sustainability targets and improve environmental performance.
· Implement strategies for waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention.
· Facilitate comprehensive investigations and root cause analyses (RCA) for accidents, incidents, and environmental events.
· Oversee corrective actions (CAPA) to address and prevent recurrence of incidents.
· Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and customers.
· Support the introduction of site wide training material focusing on safe working practices and provide ongoing support and guidance on EHS issues
· Maintain Risk Assessments, PUWER, COSHH registers, and other critical documentation.
· Manage Contractor Permits, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and insurance documentation, adhering to CDM regulations (CDM 2015).
· Build and maintain productive relationships with SMT, Group Sustainability, Environment Agency, Health & Safety Executive, Insurance Partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
· Monitor and analyse Health, Safety, and Environmental performance, using data to drive improvement and inform business strategy.
· Regularly visit the manufacturing floor to establish EHS presence, support the team, and conduct EHS meetings and training, being flexible in performing in-house training, inspections, audits, and investigations, including working across different shift patterns if needed.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in an EHS management role, ideally within a manufacturing or relevant industry.
· Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations, Environmental Management, and Sustainability practices.
· Proficient in Risk Assessments, Safety and Environmental management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and data analysis tools.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated success in managing EHS systems, leading initiatives, and achieving compliance goals.
· Experience with budget management and resource allocation for EHS activities.
· Ability to build effective relationships and foster a collaborative work environment
