Michael Page Manufacturing are supporting a key customer on a new imperative role for the Engineering structure – Head of Manufacturing Engineering. The role will be based at their site in Derbyshire and will also interlink with the group structure located in Europe

Job Description
The Head of Manufacturing Engineering will be a key role on delivering a multitude of projects focused across New Product Introduction as the business expands its portfolio of products – the role will also include:
• UK Representative for manufacturing analysis when co-ordinating with Group based projects and deliverables
• Facilitate and co-ordinate groups of individuals internally to deliver projects across various business processes
• Drive plant optimisation planning
• Lead assessment and auditing of new tools and processes implemented – looking to improve these further
• Outline key new business process improvements and be the driving forces of imprinting these into the wider business
• Be highly data driven in streamlining a portfolio of projects to focus on the key bottlenecks/issues on site
• Financial capability of running full end to end Capex project and be accountable for the return on investment reviews
• Revise and updated policies and procedures across the business
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or wider Business Management
over 5 years of Manufacturing Process Management / Operational Management in a manufacturing environment – Assembly environment would be preferred but no essential
• A clear passion to engage, lead and collaborate
• A strong LEAN/CI skill set
• Knowledgeable in business systems (SAP preferred)
• High analytic skills and comfortable with high volumes of data
