As the Manufacturing Director, you will:
Oversee all aspects of production, quality control, and safety with 7 direct reports and around 250 indirect reports.
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to enhance production efficiency and meet targets.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, planning, and quality assurance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve operational performance.
Maintain adherence to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Cultivate a culture of teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
Manage equipment, materials, and personnel to meet production demands cost-effectively.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve manufacturing performance and efficiency.
Drive initiatives to improve product quality and reliability.
Keep up with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing

We seek a candidate with:
A solid foundation in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Substantial experience in leadership and management within heavy manufacturing sectors such as rail, aerospace, or wind.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and other relevant software tools.
Capability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous innovation and learning.
