The organisation have ambitious growth plans and are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the development of their manufacturing capability.
Job Description
Reporting into the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will lead a management team across production, supply chain, projects and QHSE. You have full autonomy to drive all manufacturing metrics in pursuit of efficiency, growth and high performance.
As Operations Manager you will play a pivotal part of the senior leadership team tasked with identifying and delivering strategy aligned the organisations wider vision and values. With customer service and new product development at the centre of strategy, this role will work closely with other sites to develop the wider business offering.Day to day responsibility will include:
• Driving best in class health & safety
• Providing development and people strategy via a leadership team and leading on high performance
• Implementing dynamic and innovative supply chain systems
• Challenge all existing systems and processes while developing lean opportunity
• Working closely with the Technical and Commercial teams on NPD ensuring the business is consistently dynamic and entrepreneurial
The Successful Applicant
The successful Operations Manager will be possess an exceptional leadership style, with an enthusiasm for all things manufacturing alongside:
• Demonstrable background in production leadership within a relevant, technical industry
• A proven lean toolkit with good working examples of developing systems and cultures
• Solid materials and inventory comprehension
• An analytical approach with a background in developing ERP utilisation
