Overview: Working alongside our client, an established technical injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team.

Role:
·            As a Quality Manager you will play a key role in ensuring quality is upheld throughout the production facility, responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures, conducting audits, managing documentation and ensuring continuous improvement.

·            This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems and a passion for ensuring products meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
·            Conduct internal audits (ISO 9001 & IATF16949)

·            Host and participate in 3rd party & customer audits (ISO 9001, IATF, VDA, Customer Specific)

·            Develop Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents

·            Create FMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for variables & attributes.

·            Create process flowcharts

·            Manage and respond to customer complaints (root cause analysis, 8D problem-solving)

·            Manage supplier quality

·            Read and interpret engineering drawings

·            Inspect parts, identify faults, and make decisions on disposition

·            Use various measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer gauge, Faro arm, laser & probe)

·            Oversee calibration procedures

·            Attend Gauge R&R (GR&R) reviews

·            Maintain accurate records and manage document control, use MS  Office Suite (particularly Excel) for data analysis

·            Participate in Management Review meetings

·            Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist others

·            Manage and develop a Quality Engineer and QC Inspector as part of the Quality team

Requirements:
•           Proven experience of quality engineering / management within manufacturing

•           A recognised technical qualification, Degree, HND or similar

•           Knowledge of injection moulding processes would be beneficial but not essential

•           Experience of working with quality management systems and processes (ISO9001 & IATF16949)

•           Experience in the operation of technical measuring equipment

•           experienced in the use of quality tools – FMEA, PPA, MSA, Control plans.

•           Excellent analytical and communication skills

•           Good people management skills

•           Ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload

•           Flexible and able to react to changing customer requirements
