A new technology centre, in receipt of considerable government funding are seeking an experienced Head of Quality with strong quality systems and business process experience, to support their new production site with quality systems, policy creation and process development.

The Role

Starting with a blank sheet of paper for a brand new company and facility, you will totally design and implement the QM and business process procedures.
Manage internal quality activities.
Ensuring that reporting systems are both visible and effective.
Drive the implementations of quality management systems, quality policy and implementing processes for strong quality framework across the business.
You will be responsible for the effective management of a team to ensure that the company`s goals are achieved through the application of process and appropriate use of KPI`s.
Support ongoing engineering activities to build quality into the product and processes.
Work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees, to maintain a programme of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility. Lead a lean `no fault forward` and problem-solving methodology.
Lead the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.

The Candidate

The Head of Quality will have:
A relevant manufacturing/engineering degree (Preferred)
Membership of an industry related professional body would be advantageous
Significant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive #
Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
Excellent leadership and man-management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, organisational and follow-up skills
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
