The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story – created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Industrial Sectors Director. The purpose of the role is to manage and control the MTC industrial relationships across the range of business sectors

The Role

Duties and responsibilities for the Industrial Sectors Director are:

• Managing a team of sector group managers and relationship managers
• Developing and maintaining a budget plan for manufacturing technology, change management and skills development
• Working with each of the nominated member company representatives to assist them in mapping, influencing and assisting key stakeholders to enable MTC projects to go ahead on time
• Work with the government relations team to leverage UK and European funding opportunities for the benefit of your sector/company portfolio
• Work with the MTC business unity, business managers to feed and prioritise qualified opportunities for MTC contracts into the relevant strategic business unit for formal quotation and closure
• To develop and maintain a satisfaction metric system appropriate for the member companies. Also to ensure that the MTC delivers exceptional value creation and satisfaction through the activities above and any others necessary

The Person

The successful candidate for the Industrial Sectors Director role will:

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a proven track record of delivering order growth and good customer relationships
• Have a manufacturing sector industrial background
• Have strong numeracy and literacy skills as well as a high level of integrity
• Have very good management skills and be very proactive/flexible towards their work
• Have the ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organisation to deliver top line growth
