An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company within their brand new production facility in Solihull. They are seeking a Technical Support Manager / Maintenance Manager to ensure that the plant meets the needs of employees by managing all of the required services, including plant machinery, equipment, and tooling. Leading a team of Maintenance Engineers/Technicians/Controls Engineers. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and TPM.

The Role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction.
Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department.
Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes

The Person

At least a bachelor`s degree in business management, facilities management, engineering or a related field; problem- solving and analytical skills; time-management skills; Maintenance experience; familiarity with building upkeep, structural issues, and grounds maintenance; budgeting skills; interpersonal and communication skills; multi-tasking skills; organizational and planning skills; leadership skills; ability to influence and flexible scheduling.

Experience in setting up, using and maintaining SAP PM Modules.

You will be an experienced Maintenance professional with a proven hands-on maintenance background and the capacity to manage a team of engineers and ensure their ongoing professional development.

Ideally you will have Automotive Maintenance experience and will be happy to offer hands-on support to the maintenance team and be willing and flexible to undertake additional training and development.
