Our client is a supplier of equipment and consumables to the utilities industry both in the UK and overseas. As part of a larger global group this is a business with a solid financial backing but with a high degree of autonomy at business unit level.
To assist the business in growth of revenues through NPD and new customer acquisition we are now looking for a commercially focussed MD to help drive top line performance. Whilst being a sales and marketing focussed MD it is expected that you will be pretty good with finance and manufacturing operations too.
The successful candidate must be highly knowledgeable about the utilities industry, understanding AMP cycles, procurement requirements and the sales cycle. It’s likely that you will have an engineering degree, but this is not a pre-requisite.
In summary, this is engineering SME supplying utilities industries. The successful candidate will be sales focussed but must be a good all-rounder and must know the utilities industry.
