A leading manufacturer of precision components to the aerospace and energy sectors is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager. With a strong focus on continuous improvement you will have previous experience working in fast paced precision manufacturing.
The Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will lead operations functions ensuring production and productivity targets are achieved. The role will be responsible for operational functions in order to realise build plans, targets and customer delivery. This will be achieved through the direction and supervision of a team of managers in each area such as Production, Facilities, Process Improvement etc.
A major area of accountability will be in process improvement, people management, product quality and ensuring on time delivery. Part of the senior management team you will be tasked with developing a `team culture` within the department to ensure that company procedures, policies and business targets are continually strived for and enhanced.
The Candidate
Candidates must have previous experience working in precision/complex engineering environment, ideally with an appreciation of aerospace standards and a good working knowledge of quality systems and procedures.
You will have proven track record of man-management and the ability to motivate and lead a team. Committed to business improvement and growth you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.
