A leading manufacturer of precision components has a new vacancy for an Operations Manager.
With proven operational leadership skills, you will have previous experience working in fast-paced manufacturing/engineering and be committed to driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency,
Reporting to the General Manager, the role will be responsible for all operations functions in order to achieve agreed customer delivery times and ensure quality requirements are met. This will be achieved through directing and supervising of team of managers in each area such as Production, Process Improvement, Maintenance etc.
You will lead a site wide manufacturing team, scheduling resources and prioritising workload to ensure production requirements are met. The Operations Manager is responsible for cost control, maintaining EHS and quality standards. Ensuring teams are motivated and engaged by providing coaching and training to develop their skills.
You will develop a culture of continuous improvement through the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing tools to coach, lead and manage employees to embrace the culture of never-ending improvement in safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
Candidates must have operations management experience working in a complex manufacturing/engineering environment with a demonstrable track record of achieving results & managing change. Committed to business improvement, you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing a strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.
