Haribo UK opens £35m Castleford expansion
Haribo UK has officially opened its new purpose-built warehouse in West Yorkshire, marking a significant milestone in the business’s continued investment in the region.
The £35m investment includes a new warehouse facility and an additional production and packaging line at its site in Castleford. The facility was opened by Yvette Cooper, MP for Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley.
The warehouse, delivered in partnership with Yorkshire-based Caddick Construction and built using a local supply chain, will allow Haribo to manage future product volumes, stock additional raw materials and packaging, and further modernise operations with state-of-the-art technology.

The new facilities will support Haribo UK’s manufacturing operations in both Castleford and Pontefract, where it employs more than 700 people, further strengthening its long-term commitment to West Yorkshire, where it has been based for more than 50 years.
