Bramble Foods creates new jobs with distribution hub expansion
Bramble Foods, a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of fine ambient foods, is set to create new jobs after officially moving into a larger new base in Market Harborough.
The business has expanded into Lancaster House, a purpose-built 67,000 sq ft distribution centre at Airfield Business Park, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth and long-term commitment to Leicestershire.
The state-of-the-art facility becomes Bramble’s main national distribution hub, significantly increasing warehousing and distribution capacity while supporting the company’s expanding portfolio of premium food brands and growing customer base across the UK.
Employing around 300 people, LDC-backed Bramble Group, which includes Whitakers Chocolates, The Bay Tree and Lings, expects Lancaster House to support an increase in its workforce, with 50 skilled jobs to be created over the coming years.

Airfield Business Park, built by Leicestershire County Council, first opened in 2019 and is home to 14 businesses. This year, the council has more than doubled the site from 81,000 sq ft to 190,000 sq ft, which includes Lancaster House. The building itself pays tribute to the site’s aviation heritage. Situated on the former Market Harborough Airfield, Lancaster House honours the iconic Lancaster Bomber and preserves an important part of the area’s history.

Steve embodies everything Bramble Foods stands for – loyalty, commitment and family values – and it’s only fitting that he helped mark the beginning of this exciting new chapter.”
Designed with sustainability and operational excellence at its heart, Lancaster House incorporates electric vehicle charging points, enhanced insulation, modern construction methods and a 50kW solar array—expected to save 45,000–50,000 kWh annually—while simultaneously boosting efficiency, increasing stockholding and providing the capacity to support future product development and long-term investment across the Bramble Foods family of brands.
Bramble Foods supplies thousands of independent and national retailers, farm shops, garden centres, delicatessens, and visitor attractions with a range of confectionery, preserves, bakery products, gifting and seasonal food.
