Modular construction business set for record £55m year

Modular construction business Integra Buildings has forecasted record financial performance as it prepares for its 30th anniversary in 2027 and a major site expansion programme.

Based in Paull, near Hull, Integra is on track to deliver a record full-year turnover of £55.6m and pre-tax profits of £6.35m in 2026—up from H1 figures of £25.5m and £2.5m respectively. Both full-year projections represent the highest in the company’s history. Its profit margin is also forecast to rise to over 11% this year, up from 8% in 2025, reflecting enhanced operational efficiency.

Underpinning Integra’s growth is a shift toward delivering more complex, higher-value turnkey projects, managing every stage from design and planning through to manufacture and installation, as well as increased activity in key sectors like infrastructure, utilities, transport, healthcare, and defence. The business is now secured on seven major public sector frameworks.

Gary Parker, Integra’s CEO, said: “We’re extremely proud of the strong progress we continue to make as a business. 2026 is on track to be our best year ever and we see further growth into our 30th anniversary and beyond.

“While market and economic conditions remain challenging, we continue to buck the trend as a business that is growing, both sustainably and at pace. Our success is underpinned by the quality of the projects we deliver and by providing our clients with a service that exceeds expectations.

“Our pipeline of confirmed and potential projects is very strong and the investments we’re making in our people and facilities will ensure we’re well-positioned to achieve our ambitions.”

Over the last three years, Integra’s workforce has grown from 180 to 215, partly due to the creation of specialist electrical, pre-construction and site installation teams.

To accommodate future demand, the company recently received planning approval to expand its headquarters by a third onto neighbouring land to create additional storage space. Over the next three years, Integra plans to invest around £7m throughout the site, including in its existing production facilities and buildings.

Chris Turner, managing director at Integra, added: “Our site expansion, and associated investment, will put us in a very strong position to continue our upward trajectory over the coming years.

“We’re entering an exciting new chapter for the business, building on everything we have achieved and pushing new boundaries, both in product design and innovation, and sustainable manufacturing and construction. Our growth is also opening up new and more diverse opportunities for both our own employees and across our supply chain.”

Alongside expansion, Integra has made a multi-million pound investment in sustainability at its Paull site, focused on reducing the cost and carbon footprint of its production operations. Upgrades include the installation of more than 1,000 solar panels, a move towards electrification of plant and equipment, such as a new fleet of electric forklift trucks, and an energy reduction programme that has cut gas consumption by a quarter since 2022, targeting total elimination by 2028.

Reflecting its commitment to local social value, Integra maintains over 80% of its supply chain within a 15-mile radius of its headquarters, sourcing remaining suppliers locally to each project site.
