Make UK launches its 2023 national manufacturing awards

Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation has launched its prestigious national manufacturing awards with the aim of finding the Manufacturer of the Year.

The awards, organised by Make UK, the body that represents over twenty thousand manufacturing companies are held to recognise the achievements of companies and Apprentices from across the UK. They are held initially at regional level across the North West, North East/Yorkshire & Humber, the Midlands & East,  the South and in Wales. The regional winners then come together to compete for the national awards which are held at a prestigious ceremony in London in January 2024.

Manufacturer of the Region, sponsored by AWS
Manufacturer of the Year (National only)
SME of the Year, sponsored by Manufacturing and Engineering Week
Business Growth & Strategy
Energy & Sustainability, sponsored by Inspired
Health & Safety
Innovation, sponsored by Isoclad & Securiclad
Manufacturing Matters

In addition, there are 5 categories for both engineering and business Apprentices which gives the chance for those at the beginning of their careers the chance to shine and highlight the opportunities for young people in the sector.

Stephen Phipson, chief executive of Make UK, said: “These awards are a testament to the dynamic companies and individuals working within engineering and manufacturing. The sector remains at the heart of creating wealth across the UK and there will be a bright future for companies and individuals that make the most of their talent.”

The deadline for award entries is 30 June and entries can be made via Make UK Awards 2023.
