The Chief Engineer will provide technical leadership and manage the successful delivery of whole vehicle platforms form initial concept through to product launch.
As a Chief Engineer role, you can expect to:
• Direct and develop all attribute teams to enable the delivery of business requirements
• Define the technical content of the project as required to align with the future strategy
• Line manage the Lead Engineers and oversee any bought-in services
• Support the demonstration and implementation of new technologies and methodologies
• You will also influence early phase programmes across vehicle attributes from the initial design phases.
You will need a degree or similar qualification and extensive demonstrable senior management experience in the automotive industry to apply for this Chief Engineer role. You will also require the following:
• Experience delivering whole vehicle development programmes from the initial design phase
• Significant experience in a technical role in the development of vehicle programmes
• Leadership, project and programme management skills, having delivered projects ideally within an OEM, automotive design and development arena
• Experience identifying new technologies, performing POC studies and implementation.
