A global manufacturer with multiple UK operations is currently recruiting a Continuous Improvement Manager. You will be responsible for driving productivity improvements to ensure delivery times are met and work is to a high standard and managing a small team of engineers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Manage and drive improvement activities and projects within the areas and wider site as required.
Day-to-day management of the department
Driving departments to exceed product delivery of KPIs and consistently achieve quality expectations.
Ensure all cost objectives are met through cost control, efficiency and spend improvements.
Champion improvements in health & safety and 6S.
Root Cause, Corrective Action investigations into QHSE issues to drive errors out and work towards Zero Harm
Develop high performance teams through training & leadership.
Manage internal and external project communications to all level of stakeholders.
Manage third party suppliers.
Create business cases for investment.
Support and deputise for the Operations Director when required and carry out any other reasonable duty.
Previous experience of managing a team.
Minimum 5 years experience of working within a relevant engineering environment.
Proven track record of driving CI activities.
Ability to make decisions using own initiative.
Excellent communication skills
