Your new company
A market leading manufacturing business, internationally recognised for its product quality, customer satisfaction and lean processes, they are now looking to appoint a new General Manager / Factory Manager to join their exciting outfit. Having recently gone through a CapEx investment of around £40m, this state-of-the-art factory will provide you with a platform to deliver a strong P&L result and YOY growth.
Your new role
As the General Manager / Factory Manager, you’ll be reporting to the Regional Operations Director. You will hold the full P&L responsibility for the site, with 80 direct reports and total accountability for around 300 employees. You will be expected to drive OTIF (on time in full), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Customer satisfaction and employee engagement. You will be expected to set the site standards and take responsibility for external audits, which will be run by both accredited businesses and customers.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in your application, you must have a proven track record in delivering GMP (good manufacturing processes) within a large manufacturing company. As the Factory Manager / General Manager, you’ll also need to have managed a P&L (of between £20M and £100M), led a variety of CapEx projects, plus have a deep understanding of Lean / Six Sigma processes. It would be highly beneficial to hold an Engineering related degree or a people leadership qualification (such as an ILM).
What you’ll get in return
As the General Manager / Factory Manager, you’ll be paid a generous salary of up to £120,000. In addition to this salary, you’ll also be entitled to a company car, a generous company bonus scheme (20%), share options, and a variety of company benefits.
