About Our Client
The business are a traditional manufacturing organisation with a reputation for excellence. With over 100 years trading history and under family ownership, they are looking at modernising systems, process and infrastructure whilst maintaining the values of the business. Based in the outskirts of Huddersfield, the role is accessible from across West Yorkshire and will cover multiple sites. There is currently the option for some hybrid working but candidates must be prepared to be on site up to 5 days a week when required due to the change agenda and customer group.
Job Description
The Head of HR will:
• Lead the People function
• Implement, design and embed cultural, HR and leadership practices
• Work closely with the management team on talent, performance, recruitment and engagement
• Collaborate with the SLT and family to ensure the values and vision of the business is at the forefront
• Lead on the change plan and take people on a journey
• Have excellent ER and IR knowledge to be able to lead from the front
• Have the full breadth of generalist skills and be used to being hands on across the operation
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Head of HR role will:
• Demonstrate their ability to drive change at the right pace for a traditional organisation
• Be an advocate of HR best practice
• Have experience of working in a unionised manufacturing environment
• Will be CIPD level 7 or equivalent
• Have operated at leadership level and be a strong coach
