About Our Client
Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing is working in partnership with a prestigious UK based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of products to a large customer base across the UK and internationally.With several sites across the UK this manufacturing business are looking to recruit a driven, strategic and people-orientated Head of Operational Excellence to take full, site-wide CI responsibilities for their manufacturing facility in Hull.

Job Description
The Head of Operational Excellence will form part of the senior leadership team of this impressive manufacturing facility and will have full site responsibility for all continuous improvements projects across the manufacturing operations.

Reporting directly to the Plant Director, you will be tasked embedding lean manufacturing methods and principles, eradicating waste, improving efficiency and developing shopfloor continuous improvement competencies.Other day to day responsibilities will include:

Managing existing programmes and developing new ideas to support the business’s journey towards world class manufacturing
Driving a culture of delivering projects on time, in full and to the right standards
Managing core values to create a cohesive team
Promoting a culture focussed on continuous improvement across the whole operation
Progressing digitalisation and data strategies by innovating pragmatic digital solutions to ensure training programmes are future-proofed
Acting as an agent for change

The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will have a strong lean manufacturing background and a proven ability in leading and developing change through a team of people. You will provide inspirational management and possess:

Knowledge of operational management and organisational methods
Proven background in managing teams of c.40 people
Ability to operate at a strategic level and break down goals into practical tasks for the team
Strong problem-solving skills with experience of CI methodologies
Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
