Michael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a Global Manufacturing Business that are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join their business based in Derbyshire. This is a new role added to the structure to support the General Manager

Our customer is operating in a market that is highly resilient and proving a source of growth and investment. This growing business located in Derbyshire is looking to drive plant efficiency’s following heavy investment and sales growth and they are offering a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to make a positive difference

Job Description
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee plant production across their business unit and be the go to person to optimise plant efficiency, quality and delivery. they will also

• Be able to measure, assess and deliver against a clear plan
• Have a hands-on mentality
• Drive improvement across the business unit to cut any waste
• Lead a team of technical and non technical operators
• Able to clearly communicate to the General Manager
• Focused on plant optimisation and delivering against a clear set of objectives
• Have a proven track record in running a manufacturing, materials or industrial process operation
• Train and up skill co-workers to create a proactive and positive culture

The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have:

• Managed teams for 5+ years
• Knowledge of delivering KPI’s through a heavily manual process is essential
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
• Been accountable for a manufacturing team of over 80 staff
• Able to deputise for General Manager when absent
• A driven and can-do attitude
• An Engineering background – would be preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of lean tools is essential
• Passion and drive to create a team culture based on delivering on time in full
• A hands-on leader
• Is a clear and comfortable communicator
