Due to expansion an experienced Operations Manager is required for a new role working for a food manufacturing business. Working closely with the Site Director you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and running of the business, whilst having direct responsibility for the performance, training, and development of the team there is a clear path to progress into the Site Director within 2 years.

Due to expansion, this client based in Telford, requires an experienced Operations Manager on a permanent basis. As an Operations Manager you will be required to:

Take full responsibility for the factory productivity and performance via measurement, monitoring, and analysis of factory information.
Ensure the site maintains and develops its BRC accreditation and other relevant standards and audits.
Ensure the supply of incoming products meets the factory requirements based on demand and historical trends.
Ensure the management, reduction and prevention of slow-moving material stock utilising the appropriate stock reports and meetings.
Monitor and ensure that the appropriate team structure is in place for each department.
Oversee the effective and efficient use of all equipment & machinery.
Identify, manage, and track a clear site cost saving program encompassing all costs drivers.
Ensure any improvements to the site are undertaken in a cost effective and timely manner.

The Operations Manager should have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

Essential:
5+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Manager, Factory Manager or Operations Manager level within an FMCG Manufacturing environment.
IOSH Safety Certificate
Advanced Food Hygiene and HACCP Certificate
Experience of managing and leading large teams
Knowledge of industry related Health and Safety requirements
Successful track record of managing large teams.

Full time permanent contract
40 hours per week
Annual salary up to £65,000 per annum
