Following significant new contracts, company investment and expansion, a manufacturer of components to the aerospace, energy and high technology sectors has a new vacancy for an Operations Manager to join the team. Responsible for improving productivity, driving continuous improvement and developing operational efficiency, candidates are sought with experience working in a precision engineering environment with a proven track record in a similar position.
The Role
You will be joining the site at a time of significant change and investment and will be responsible for improving processes and operational functions to ensure best practise and targets are achieved. This will be achieved through the direction and supervision of a team of managers and leading by example.
You will develop a culture of continuous improvement through the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing tools to coach, lead and manage employees to embrace the culture of never-ending improvement in safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
The successful candidate will create a positive culture and be responsible for ensuring lean manufacturing is applied throughout the organisation.
The Candidate
You must have a proven track record of business and operational improvement gained in a complex manufacturing environment with excellent leadership skills. Committed to business strategy and growth you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.
Candidates with experience working in a complex fabricated and/or machining environment would be advantageous.
