A global advanced engineering group manufacturing complex components for sectors including aerospace, defence, energy and automotive has a new vacancy for a Plant Manager within one of its key manufacturing facilities. Joining the company at a time of ambitious growth and significant investment, candidates are sought with previous experience working in a fast-paced precision engineering environment and with strong leadership skills.
The Role
You will be responsible for operational functions ensuring targets are achieved, customer order fulfilled and driving operational excellence. This will be achieved through the direction and supervision of a team of managers in each area such as Production, Facilities, Process Improvement etc.
You will develop a culture of continuous improvement through the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing tools to coach, lead and manage employees to embrace the culture of never-ending improvement in safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
The successful candidate will create a positive culture and be responsible for ensuring lean manufacturing is applied throughout the organisation.

You must have a proven track record in manufacturing management with a demonstrable track record of achieving results & managing change. Committed to business improvement and growth you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.
