Due to continued growth and expansion, a leading engineering company developing an innovative product for the Automotive and Energy sectors has a new vacancy for Quality Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for setting up business processes & quality systems implementation and management of the warranty system and improving quality.
The Role
Coach, mentor and develop quality function
Facilitate Corrective Action and Root Cause Analysis activities with other site functions
Maintain key relationships across all levels of the organisation to ensure compliance to policies and procedures
Develop and implement the quality plan for the business with key stakeholders.
Agree and implement the correct quality KPI‘s for the business to provide visibility of the performance being achieved and to drive continuous improvement.
Provide guidance to ensure that their activities are consistent with the overall quality plan and to support the implementation and the appropriate metrics to measure and improve Supplier Quality Performance
Manage PPAP process and implement component inspection plans as required
Report internally on supplier quality performance
The Candidate
At least 5 years‘ experience as a Quality Manager in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
Experience setting up quality and business systems
Successfully led the implementation of business processes and subsequent accreditation to quality systems such as ISO 9001
Experience in and a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodology
Experience in a blue-chip manufacturing / engineering organisation
Ideally will have worked in a SME environment
Proven people Management Experience
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
