This newly created Supply Chain Manager position is designed to support the forecasted 20% growth for this SME make-to-order precision manufacturing business.
Following successive years of growth this business is building out it’s organisational infrastructure to allow it to capitalise on commercial opportunities brought about by new ways of working, systems and process development and diversity of thought.
With an initial focus on supplier development to improve their OTIF, you will seek to find improvements across the whole supply chain, looking at cost and contractual terms improvement and supplier rationalisation, reduction in OWC and improvement in stock turns.
To be considered for this role you should ideally have the following:
• Previous experience of direct spend/buying/procurement for a manufacturing business
• Vison of what a purchasing excellence strategy looks like, or perhaps have developed one before
• Good experience of contract review
• Supplier performance improvement experience
As this role doesn’t specifically require previous experience in logistics management, time to grow and develop in this area will be provided if needed. This opportunity is perfectly positioned for a senior buyer or purchasing manager to grow their career or responsibility levels.
