A well-established, family-run SME manufacturing business with a strong heritage and reputation is entering a key phase of growth. With ambitious plans to scale, the organisation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to strengthen operational capability and support future expansion.

Your new role
Reporting directly into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain function across procurement, inventory, and logistics. This is a highly visible, hands-on role suited to someone comfortable operating within an SME environment.
This assignment will focus on reviewing current practices and implementing improvements to ensure the supply chain is robust, scalable, and aligned with growth ambitions.
Key responsibilities will include:

Reviewing and enhancing supply chain processes, SOPs, and operational frameworks
Driving measurable improvements in OTIF, inventory accuracy, and service performance
Strengthening Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments and compliance standards
Improving demand planning, forecasting, and stock control processes
Developing supplier relationships and improving commercial performance
Overseeing ERP usage and ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Establishing KPI frameworks, reporting structures, and performance tracking
Leading and developing a small team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

What you’ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a proven track record of delivering improvement within SME manufacturing environments.
You will demonstrate:

Strong experience in a hands-on supply chain leadership role within an SME manufacturing business
A track record of delivering process improvement and operational change
Proven success improving OTIF, inventory accuracy, and service KPIs
Experience across procurement, supplier management, and inventory control
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and risk management frameworks
Experience implementing or refining SOPs and operational processes
A proactive, “can-do” approach with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
H&S qualifications (e.g. IOSH) would be advantageous.
