The ZenootTV News Show

Join Nick and Matt as they discuss the latest news in UK manufacturing. This week:

Bentley Motors has announced an ambitious plan to produce nothing but electric vehicles after 2030. This is part of their Beyond 100 (years in business) project and is underscored by a commitment that their entire manufacturing process, throughout the supply chain, must be carbon net zero. Watch out, component makers!

One hundred jobs will be created by Gordon Murray Group creating a new HQ in Windlesham in Surrey. They’ll carry on making their cars at Dunsfold, also in Surrey, but the £50m investment is a huge demonstration of faith in the brand and its beautiful supercars, including the new T50.

And, the Irish dairy powerhouse that is Ornua has announced a £3m investment in its Leek, Derbyshire, plant where they produce and pack cheese. Ornua is a giant in the food sector – €2.5bn sales worldwide! – and is the brand behind such standout products as Kerrygold and Pilgrims Choice.
