myenergi plans multi-million pound factory investment

Designer and manufacturer of renewable energy products, myenergi, has revealed plans for the second phase of development at its new state-of-the-art eco headquarters in Lincolnshire.

Phase one of the project, which is set to complete in July, will see the engineering and design departments relocated to a purpose-built 15,000 sq ft facility at the Stallingborough Business Park. The second phase, which is currently in planning stages, will see a 45,000 sq ft production facility added to the site.

The bright, modern and spacious advanced manufacturing centre will feature brand new assembly lines and the latest production technologies. Set to be operational by July 2022, the new facility will enable myenergi to triple its production output and further expand its product portfolio.

With a corporate commitment to minimising operational impact, the new development will target carbon neutrality. Embracing the most sustainable building techniques possible, the new facility will feature photovoltaics panels, alongside a whole host of eco-smart renewable energy management technologies.

Dr Chris Horne, chief technical officer at myenergi, said: “Demand for our pioneering range of eco-smart home management technologies continues to increase. From our zappi EV charger to our eddi microgen diversion device, our product range is proving pivotal to the smart homes of tomorrow.

“While our production outputs have increased, so too has our team. Indeed, when I joined the business in 2019, I was employee #22. We’ve increased this number by almost tenfold, employing our 195th team member earlier in June.

“Plans to expand into a purpose-built flagship facility started a few years ago. At this point, we were on our first generation zappi and our international footprint was still limited. Eighteen months after breaking ground, the business has expanded dramatically, meaning the original 15,000 sq ft building would be simply too small to handle increasing demand. Phase two of the development will not only provide us with sufficient space for our multiple production lines, but also allows us to increase volumes and further expand our product offer.”

Jordan Brompton, co-founder and CMO at myenergi, added: “Humanity is at a crossroads. From what we eat and what we wear, to how we travel and how we live, ensuring there’s a planet left for our great grandchildren requires fundamental change – and it’s up to all of us to take up the gauntlet! Climate change, emissions, carbon footprint and the ozone layer – not new words, but ones that have been ignored for far too long.

“With myenergi, our inspiration has always been to create a positive impact, push the boundaries of possibility and change the world through pioneering green technologies. Announcing the second phase of development at our brand new eco headquarters is the next step in our journey to provide homeowners worldwide with complete energy independence.”
