Investment sees Chivas Brothers create new jobs

Scotch whisky manufacturer Chivas Brothers, part of Pernod Ricard, has recently launched a recruitment drive for 136 permanent operators at its Kilmalid bottling site in Dumbarton.

The investment in new talent at the site follows an £88m expansion of two of its Speyside-based single malt distilleries. The improvements to the Aberlour and Miltonduff distilleries include the upgrading of sustainable distillation technologies, along with significant production capacity expansions to support the future of Scotch.

Chivas Brothers says manufacturing is a vital element of its business and with every single bottle making its way through the Dumbarton site, strengthening the team will help improve supply chains to meet the growing global demands for Scotch.

Liam Donegan, manufacturing director at Chivas Brothers, said: “Dumbarton is at the heart of our Chivas Brothers operations and I’m delighted to announce this significant investment in our site and our people. These permanent roles will really bolster our manufacturing capabilities and ensure that Kilmalid remains a world class bottling facility to support the future of Scotch.”
