Hyperbat is a joint venture between Williams Advanced Engineering and Unipart Manufacturing Group, formed with a mission to manufacture innovative high voltage battery solutions, optimised for high-performance and specialist applications.

Due to continuous growth and recent new programme awards, they are seeking an Advanced Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis in Coventry, Warwickshire.

The Role
HyperBat are seeking an Advanced Engineering Manager to lead the future process engineering and product application engineering to support operation production and delivery of battery systems.

The Advanced Engineering Manager will develop the people, processes, and procedures for battery manufacturing operations. You will operate as a subject matter expect on manufacturing scale up activity including building, assembly, testing and scouting of innovative technologies.

The Advanced Engineering Manager will support manufacturing strategy, strategic planning for budget including OpEx and CapEx and the associated commissioning of new projects. You will support the development of PMFEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, MBOMs and work instructions.

The Advanced Engineering Manager will spearhead the effective growth of the production capability at HyperBat including the addition of automated, digital and Manufacturing Execution System technologies into the production operations.

The Person
The successful candidate will enjoy and relish the challenge of providing best practice guidance for manufacturing scale up in the HV field alongside effective and dynamic leadership of the teams facilitating production excellence and sustained manufacturing success for the battery products.

You will possess a solid experience set working within fast-paced, safety critical manufacturing. Any experience within battery systems or related electrical and electronic systems is highly desirable for the position.

The Advanced Engineering Manager will demonstrate strong practical critical thinking skills including 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, SOPs and be able to implement lean methodologies to expedite business improvements.

You will enjoy leading a team including mentoring, coaching, and developing a team to achieve exceptional results. The Advanced Engineering Manager will be highly commercially aware from a budget and cost perspective and be able to communicate effectively across all areas of the business.
