Jonathan Lee is seeking a Chief Design Engineer for an established automotive engineering company to lead new product development.
They are part of a growing successful business operating in the supply of automotive components for a range of commercial engines both ICE and Electric. They provide design and development services for other sister companies within the engine products division being a global supplier/market leader in their field
The Chief Design Engineer will take on the position as the Chief of design on new product development to support customer engineering programs.
What You Will Do:
• Lead on a range of electrification projects, presenting design concepts to clients
• To provide leadership to design team on a range of engine ancillaries including oil, water & fuel pumps
• Work from 1st principals in concept design work utilising proven problem solving skills
• Work alongside engineering team to ensure design is optimised for manufacture
• To liaise with design team & cross functional teams to resolve design issues
What You Will Need:
• Degree qualified Engineer with proven industry experience
• Proven ability in one of the leading 3D CAD modelling packages
• Demonstrable experience in powertrain product development
• Knowledge/experience in concept design work
• Good understand of manufacturing processes, DFM
• Be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on a range of projects to tight deadlines
