The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story – created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Chief Engineer – Transformation Team. The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and provide overall management of the Transformation Team to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
The Role
The key functions of the Chief Engineer – Transformation Team is to effectively support stakeholders within the following areas:
Business performance and budgeting
Technology road-mapping, maturation and governance
Securing funding for capability and value proposition creation.
Resource management, development and deployment
Development of the Technology sector
The Chief Engineer – Transformation Team will provide inspirational leadership and direction to the team operating to the highest professional standards in adherence to the MTC`s organisational visions and values.
The Person
The successful applicant for the post of Chief Engineer – Transformation Team will possess a proven industrial consultancy background focused on business improvement and promotion of technological improvement/opportunities for technology insertion. You will demonstrate a record of leading and influencing technology and transformation specialists and scientific staff within a complex, internal stakeholder environment. Applicants will possess higher level academic credentials ideally combining a level of engineering/technology qualification and business management expertise ideally MBA or equivalent.
