A Continuous Improvement Manager is required to lead projects from identification through to implementation, running green belt projects to deliver improvements that yield measurable improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery (Process). Candidates with experience of identifying opportunities for improvement, providing advanced root cause analysis, and monitoring of process KPIs would be well received.
Due to increased workloads this company, an award-winning transmission technology specialist based in Thatcham, requires a proactive Continuous Improvement Manager to manage all continuous improvement projects within manufacturing to ensure alignment of activities to business needs. As a Continuous Improvement Manager you will be required to:
• Manage the process development team as well as leading cross functional improvement teams
• Develop, train and roll out standards and best practice using lean manufacturing and six sigma tools and principles
• Support the adherence to, and the sustainability of, the continuous improvement programme
• Undertake and fully manage projects to deliver capital investment projects, new processes and manufacturing improvements that enhance both capability and capacity, optimise effectiveness and maximise return on investment
• Act as a mentor to coach and develop staff in the mind-set of continuous improvement
The Continuous Improvement Manager should have the following skills or experience:
• Degree qualified in a science or engineering based discipline
• Good understanding of engineering drawings along with a good understanding of manufacturing principles
• Preferably certified in lean six sigma green belt
• Proven ability leading a multi-functional team
• Good analytical skills to be able to convert business objectives into achievable tasks
• Prince 2 qualification advantageous
